The Team

At Dylan’s Den, our staff are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for every child. Each team member holds a current DBS check and takes part in regular, high‑quality training, including Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Safeguarding, and Prevent. Together, we’re committed to providing the highest standard of care and support.

Gina

Hi, I’m Gina, I'm part of the Manager of the administration team at Dylan’s Den. I genuinely love being surrounded by such a warm, dedicated group of people, all working together to create a fun, welcoming, and safe space where children can thrive.

I also serve as a volunteer Director and Secretary, and I’m proud to be one of the founding members who helped launch this not-for-profit co-operative back in 2008 alongside four other local parents. Watching Dylan’s Den grow over the years—and seeing the positive impact it now has on so many families—has been incredibly rewarding.

Outside work I love to read, travel and spend time with friends.

Chloe - Operations Lead

My name is Chloe and I am the Person in Charge at Dylan’s Den. I feel very blessed to have worked for such a wonderful organisation for the last 10 years. Another role I hold is ALNCO and I love to work with children who have emerging or additional needs, putting individual strategies in place to  help the children develop at their own pace.

I’m passionate about play and first trained as a Play worker, 20 years ago. It is a joy to see children leading their own play but being there to facilitate and extend it.

In my spare time my own children keep me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I also lead a local church alongside my husband and I’m always looking for ways to help those who need it, within our community.

Jess - Compliance Lead

Hi, I’m Jess, I'm part of the admin team at Dylan's Den. I feel very lucky to have a job I love and to work with such a brilliant team. One of my favourite parts of the day is hearing the children playing and seeing them appear at the office door with their messy little hands, proudly showing me their wonderful creations.

Amy H - Finance Lead

Hi, I’m Amy. I am part of the admin team at Dylan’s Den. I started my career volunteering when I was 14 years old and have always loved working with children. I love to see how children learn and develop into confident individuals. As part of the admin team I spend most of the day in the office but love going out into setting to see a snippet of the children’s day, getting to see how happy they are with the team and joining in with their play is always a pleasure. I can  always count on the children to dance and sing along with me when I'm in the setting. I am always looking to improve our service and ways in which we can support the children, their families and our team to reach their full potential.

I am a mum of two busy boys who love singing and dancing and being outdoors. I spend many evenings in the skate park watching all their tricks. I am family orientated and spend lots of time with my family eating out, visiting the cinema and going on our travels in our campervan.

Jodie

I became a playworker as I genuinely love working with children and supporting their growth. I love working in Dylan's Den as I help children to develop their confidence, independence and resilience in a safe and nurturing environment. Through play, children explore the world, build important life skills, and express themselves freely, and I feel proud and honoured to be part of that special journey.

Outside of work I'm a busy Mammy to 3 wonderful boys and my weekends are spent at rugby and football games supporting their interests. Cooking and baking is a passion of mine and I love to experiment with new recipes, change them up and make them my own. I'm the biggest animal lover and know so many facts about all kinds of animals, I could give David Attenborough a run for his money.

Molly

Hi, I’m Molly, the Deputy Leader at After School Club and a Playworker at Dragon Tots. I feel incredibly lucky to work with children and support them as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them. It’s a real privilege to be trusted with parents’ tiny humans and to play a small part in their journeys.

I love creating a warm, safe, and happy environment where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged to try new things and build their confidence. I’m especially passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs and providing behaviour support, helping every child feel understood and included. I take great pride in helping them work towards their goals, and it’s so rewarding to see their confidence grow and to celebrate the progress they make along the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy going on long walks and little adventures with my family, and I especially love a magical trip to Disney!

Kelly W

My name is Kelly, I'm a playworker at Dylan's Den. Working with children has always been my passion and I have worked with children since I was 16 years old. Watching the children learn and develop in my care is what keeps me going , It is rewarding and an honour to witness. My favourite thing to do in Dylan's Den is to sing and dance with the children, both in English and in Welsh . My favourite song to sing is clap, clap , un , dau, tri and my favourite song to dance to with the children is 'do the conga. It's in these moments I remember my own experience of joy in childhood, and hopefully will pass that joy on to the children during their time in our care.

When I am not in Dylan's Den, I love to have days out with my family, exploring the outdoors and dining out.

Kate

My name is Kate and I’m a playworker at Dylan’s Den. I love working with children because every day is different and always full of fun. Getting to know all the children is so rewarding, and it’s a privilege to watch their progress and see their personalities grow.

I enjoy sharing stories with the children and taking part in messy play and arts and crafts — the messier the better! You can never have too much glitter. It’s lovely seeing the children use their imagination and explore through play.

When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family, going on mountain walks, being outdoors, reading and sewing.

Amy S

Hi I'm Amy and I’m a playworker at Dylan’s Den. I’ve always loved being outdoors, and the garden is my favourite place to spend time. Working with children brings me so much joy, especially watching them learn, grow, and express themselves through play. Their imagination is incredible, and seeing how confidently they explore the world around them is one of the best parts of my job. Being able to support their early development and share in those little moments of discovery is something I truly value.

Kelly M

My name is Kelly M and I am a Playworker at Dylan’s Den. I love watching the children grow and develop, using their imagination through all of their learning opportunities.

I love singing and dancing and being outdoors watching the children explore and get messy in the world around them.

In my spare time I loving spending quality time with my family and friends, travelling and exploring new places, going to the gym and reading on my own or with my two boys.

Nikki

Hello, my name is Nikki. I love my job as a play worker at Dylan’s Den because every day is different. Watching the children learn, grow, and explore the world through play is so rewarding. I enjoy being part of their little milestones, seeing their imaginations come to life, and helping them feel safe, happy, and confident. Nothing beats the feeling of being invited into their play and changing into a princess or superhero, sharing a Play-Doh cookie or getting messy with the shaving foam. Working with an incredible team makes every day so much fun.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, travelling when I can, and binge-watching far too many TV series (I’m definitely a “just one more episode” kind of person!). If I’m not doing that, you’ll probably find me out enjoying good food, watching shows, or laughing my way through a comedy night — basically anything that involves fun, food, and making memories (and maybe ordering dessert when I’m already full!).

Sarah

Shwmae! I'm Sarah, I absolutely love being a playworker because every day is different and full of fun, laughter, and creativity. It’s so rewarding being part of children’s development, watching their confidence grow, and creating a safe, happy space where they can just be themselves.

What I enjoy most about my job is getting stuck into activities, whether that’s arts and crafts, games, or outdoor adventures. I love bringing energy and positivity to the setting and making sure the children have the best time.

Outside of work, I’m all about enjoying time with my family and friends, making the most of fresh air and new adventures. And of course, I never say no to some yummy food, a nice cuppa and a good catch-up!

I am currently enjoying my maternity leave and can't wait to get back into work and meet all the new children at Dylan's Den.

Meg

Hi, I'm Meg! I am a playworker at Dylan's Den and have been for the past 2 years. I love getting creative with the children through arts and crafts and lots of fun messy play activities. Seeing their imaginations grow and watching them explore different materials is one of my favourite parts of the job.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing rugby, which keeps me active and part of a great team!

Fran

I’m a Playworker who enjoys getting outside and encouraging children to be active, explore, and enjoy the freedom of play. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills, and express themselves through play in a safe and supportive environment.

Outside of work, I enjoy being part of a team and regularly play rounders and football. I also love spending quality time with my two boys, especially going on trips together and making the most of our time at our caravan.
